Local Lens: Images of South County and the Bay

The photography show "Local Lens: Images of South County and the Bay" opened on Sunday, Oct. 4, and will be in place at the Museum through the end of the year. The Museum was delighted both by the outpouring of over 130 pictures by 53 Maryland photographers, and by the enthusiastic reception the show received from the more than 120 visitors who came to take part in its opening.

Photograph subjects range from Chesapeake sunsets and osprey nests, to community festivals and personal pets. Several photographs were selected to be made into greeting cards, and these are available at the Museum.

In addition, an Audience Choice Award will be chosen by visitors to the Museum's Oyster Fest on Oct. 18. Come see the show during our regular open hours on Sundays from 1:00-4:00, or call ahead to visit at any other time.
